Kristin & Bill - 4/19/08 Water's Edge

Kristin and Bill were married Saturday, April 19th at Waters Edge Resort and Spa in Westbrook. They hired me to finish up the details for their wedding. Kristin had a clear vision of what she wanted her wedding to look like. Her colors were black, ivory and champagne. Kristin wanted to incorporate lace in her decor so I was able to find a wonderful dealer of all things lace on Ebay - http://www.laceandlavender.com/. She supplied us with the beautiful black lace in order to make the table runners for each of her 15 tables. Not being a seamstress I started to panic a little when Kristin asked if I could make them. Thank God for a little product called Stitch Witchery. It worked like a charm. After that project it was on to votive candles for which I wrapped ivory ribbon under black ribbon and tied in a bow. Kristin also wanted to hang her placecards in a tree (made by Jane at Just For You Floral Design) so once again Lace and Lavender supplied beautiful black lace that I attached each place card to. The effect was stunning, if I do say so myself. The last project I did for Kristin was to assemble her restroom emergency kit which was probably the most enjoyable project since it didn't require precise cutting, "sewing" or tieing 144+ ribbons. I loved the final product shown below. I didn't attend this wedding since Kristin had full confidence in the ladies at Water's Edge to decorate but I want to wish Kristin and Bill a happy life together filled with laughter and great memories. It was a pleasure working with you.

Marcia MacNiven Joins the Details Team

I am so excited to announce another new addition to our Details team. Marcia MacNiven comes with experience in both event and wedding planning and coordination. In 2007 Marcia offered her day of services to several brides in CT and NY and therefore comes to Details very highly recommended. She will take on roles of support for me and the other planners in addition to coordinating weddings of her own. No doubt she will be a great asset to our team.
