Kelley and John - 5/31/08 Tyrone Farm

Kelley and John may not have had picture perfect weather for their May wedding, but you would never know it from the photos taken by our own Marcia MacNiven (not the professional photographer) whose role as DOC was carried out without a hitch. Kelley's vision from the inital visit to Tyrone Farms a year ago was to marry under the farm's pergola overlooking a gorgeous scenic view. But threatening skys forced her to marry in the property's barn instead and what a beautiful compromise. The florist, Lillums, transformed the dark yet inviting space into a floral wonderland leaving Kelley speechless upon seeing the transformation.
The couple's pink and green color palette was played out in the dining space with a soft green linen covering the tables and pink accents such as menu cards, a candy buffet and ribbons tied to kazoos that were played instead of clinking glasses. Kelley and John wanted to surprise each other with something special. For John, Kelley hired Boston Cigar Factory to roll cigars for guests while John comissioned a local ice sculptor to carve a martini luge with the couple's names engraved in it. And, as a gift to each other Kelley and John rode off in a hired vintage Corvette right after the ceremony.
