In June of 2007, Virginia MacLean lost her battle with multiple myeloma at the age of 44. Virginia was the aunt of one of my former 2007 brides - Kerry MacLean. She lives on through her friends and family, especially her 3 year old daughter, Paige. Debilitating and painful, myeloma and bone cancer are two of the fastest growing diseases in the world with over one million patients in the United States alone. After her diagnosis, Virginia dedicated herself to myeloma and bone cancer research. She teamed up with the creators of “Pete’s Wicked Ale” to develop “Reunion Beer: A Beer for Hope”. 100% of the proceeds for Reunion Beer sales go to eradicating these terrible diseases. On Thursday, June 5, 2008 at Murphy & Scarletti’s Restaurant in Farmington the MacLean family and Virginia's friends will hold a fundraiser starting at 5 p.m. Tickets for the night are $25.00 per person. If you can’t make it but would still like to donate or would like tickets to sell…please let me know. I will pass on your name and information to the MacLean family. 100% of proceeds raised through this event will be donated to the Institute of Myeloma and Bone Cancer Research. www.imbcr.org.
The family is also looking for corporate and personal sponsorships of $250 and up…sponsors will receive special recognition. Remember, 100% of your donation will be donated to help find a cure!
